We prepare our students to solve societal issues, to understand and address problems facing our justice and legal infrastructures, to be informed and participate in politics and analyze economic trends in our society and around the globe.

Undergraduate Programs

The College of Public Policy and Justice is one of the most comprehensive and diverse academic units in terms of its inventory of degree offerings at AUM. Students can graduate with a degree in Political Science, Criminal Justice, Organizational Leadership, Sociology, Anthropology, GeographyGeographical Information Systems and Economics.

Graduate Programs

We offer graduate programs in Economics, Public Administration, Geographic Information Systems, Political Science, Justice and Public Safety, Homeland Security and Emergency Management. Soon, the college will expand its program options to include advanced studies in GIS.

Doctoral Programs

In times demanding change, the Auburn University and Auburn University at Montgomery doctoral program prepares students to become a vital part of both academia and government. The faculty at both campuses share their knowledge and expertise transforming students into confident scholars, researchers and policy leaders.

In order to provide flexibility and convenience for our students, a great majority of our course offerings, especially for Criminal Justice, Organizational Leadership and the GIS programs, are available through distance learning options (online).

Substance Abuse Program
The Division of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Service under the Alabama Department of Mental Health in collaboration with the AUM Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Geography in the College of Public Policy and Justice will host the 2017 Workforce Forum as sponsored by the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration/National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors.
