ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Division of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Service under the Alabama Department of Mental Health in collaboration with the AUM Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Geography in the College of Public Policy and Justice will host the 2017 Workforce Forum as sponsored by the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration/National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors.

The focus of this grant-funded forum is in providing awareness and education on the rewarding benefits of working in the substance abuse and mental health fields as well as the availability of employment opportunities in the behavioral health professions in the state of Alabama.
