We prepare our students to solve societal issues, to understand and address problems facing our justice and legal infrastructures, to be informed and participate in politics and analyze economic trends in our society and around the globe.

A degree in economics prepares students to work in various areas of economics including financial and investment firms, large corporations, trade associations, and federal, state, and local government agencies.

International Economics and Commerce

The International Economics and Commerce degree prepares students to work in multinational corporations and also allows for concentration on forecasting sales, understanding the importance of exchange rates, arbitrage and speculation, and trade policies. Partnership with the Study Abroad Program allows students to also study the European Union economy in London, Paris and Frankfurt.

Political Econom

The College of Public Policy and Justice's political economics degree prepares students for various careers in government or public economics, including the areas of health, education and welfare.  It also aids greatly in preparing candidates for law school.
